Error: Acrobat cannot open the file attachment because your
PDF file attachment settings do not allow this file type to be opened.
To fix this issue follow below steps:
1.
Open Regedit.exe using administrator privileges
2.
Browse for below path
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11(Verison)\FeatureLockDown\
cDefaultLaunchAttachmentPerms and on right pane double click tBuiltInPermList.
3.
Locate in the value list, .zip:3 and edit to
read .zip:1 this changes the behavior to prompt the user for an action (save or
open).
4.
Close Regedit window and open Adobe.
