Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 encountered an error during setup.

Finally I found the solution for this error while installing the Microsoft Office 2016 in Windows 10.

This error usually comes only when you have any old entries of Microsoft Office version stored on your system. To delete those entries Microsoft has their official tool called "o15-ctrremove" it will help you to remove all entries automatically, you can download the tool from the following link.

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Manually-uninstall-Office-4e2904ea-25c8-4544-99ee-17696bb3027b?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

But this tool will not delete the entry of "Office" folder in Task Scheduler.

After using the "o15-ctrremove" tool, kindly go to "Task Scheduler" and delete the "Office" folder as shown in below picture.

Now you can install the Office without any interruption.
